This Is Where I Leave You - Jonathan Tropper

I wanted to give this book a try because the movie was coming out and I hate watching movies based on books withough reading the books first. But still, it took me a while to finally pick it up because the reviews were so disparate that for some reason I thought I was going to be on the "one-star" side of the spectrum. 

 

I am happy to inform that was not the case. I really enjoyed reading about the Foxman's dysfunctional family, even though they're a fairly stereotypical one. I got hooked from page one and I even laughed out loud a few times. I loved sitting shiva with them. I will definitively read more from this author and I can't wait to see the movie :)
