The real rating for this book would be 2.5, but since that's not possible, I'll just give it 2 stars. Although the bad guy was quite obvious from the start, that wasn't the main problem for me. The real problem was the main character. Stephanie Plum was so blatantly stupid that you just want to smack her in the face repeatedly. Only around the 70% mark the book started to get interesting, Stephanie got (a little bit) smarter and the plot started to move faster. However, not everything was terrible, and I did enjoy each and everytime Morelli's character came into the story, as well as Ranger and the crazy Grandma. All in all, the last 30% of the book was quite enjoyable so I will give this one more chance and read the second book in the series, in the hope that Stephanie learned something and decided to use some brain cells.
