The eighth book in this series starts with Kinsey working on a case involving the death of a friend of her, a claims adjuster for an insurance company. Later she finds herself investigating one of the latest files her friend was working with, about a woman called Bibiana Díaz, who is suspected of fraud. In a matter of days, Kinsey goes from meeting Bibiana to being trapped with her in the house of Bibiana's ex-boyfriend, a dangerous gang leader who will not hesitate to kill her if he finds out who Kinsey really is. Three and a half stars!
