The Time Machine - H.G Wells

The Time Machine - H.G. Wells, Stephen Baxter, Stephen Barker

I listened to this as an audiobook read by Sir Derek Jacobi and I have to say his voice was perfect for this book.

Wells is the father of science fiction and it shows. The Time Machine was written in 1895 and, while the story and the 'technology' does feel a bit old, you would NEVER guess it's almost 120 years old. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a bit plain sometimes, but it's such a short book that it hardly bothers you. I'm really glad I picked this one up, and my respect for Wells is ever-growing.
